Same as above very less http proxy supports IRC client so they usually needs socks proxy. We can use the IRC client mIRC as e.g click on mIRC menu Tools --> Options --> Connect --> Firewall Now set the socks5 proxy for mIRC easily.IE Socks Proxy Settings
IE can use both http proxy as socks proxy.The proxy setting in IE is little complex.Open the IE menu Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections --> Lan Settings to open this dialog.Now check the option " proxy server for your LAN" and then click the Advanced button to enable the socks proxy for Internet Explorer.Then input the IP and Port for the "Socks" to work and keep other options empty.
Note: We find that IE doesn't support some socks proxies with the 27977 port. We recommend Firefox if you want to use those socks proxies in browser.
